Chief Chinenye Ihenko, known as Okpompi, the Head of Operations for Agunechemba has expressed gratitude to God for using the state security outfit, the Agunechemba in tackling the violent groups that had plagued the state before Agunechemba was established by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, adding that he views their progress in overcoming the Unknown Gunmen as a sign of divine intervention.
Okpompi, affectionately called by his supporters said acknowledged the Creator, offering guidance to some
to some Agunechemba operatives who erred in their duties. He reminded them that they would eventually encounter those they had wronged while carrying out their tasks. He emphasized that Agunechemba was created to protect citizens and their property, rather than victimizing themHe asserted that Agunechemba has a crucial role in fighting insecurity and urged the operatives to see their work as a service to both God and humanity rather than a means for personal enrichment. He noted that accountability will follow their service and encouraged those contemplating a shift in their mindset to reassess, warning them of the consequences for failing to act ethically.
Chief Ihenko condemned some Agunechemba operatives’ pursuit of quick wealth, insisting that gains from such endeavors are short-lived, highlighted the need for compassion and commitment among those serving through the Agunechemba initiative.
“I offer this counsel: our work represents a significant calling from the Almighty. If you’re only pretending to be an Agunechemba operative and engaging in harmful actions, it would be better for you to step back. This is not about making money; it is a true sacrifice for God and humanity. Success will come only to those genuinely dedicated to serving the state government,” he advised.
He praised Agunechemba’s achievements since its inception, attributing their success to the exceptional care, advanced security technologies, and vital infrastructure provided by His Excellency, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. He assured that Agunechemba members will continue to express their gratitude to His Excellency by actively pursuing criminals in the forests and farmlands across Anambra State.
