CSP Uche Noah Onyinnaya, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for the Bridgehead Division within the Anambra State Police Command, has reported ongoing operational difficulties to ACP Fasugba Temitope of the Onitsha Area Command. The DPO highlighted issues such as a lack of patrol vehicles, insufficient communication tools, and cramped office conditions.
This information was shared during the Area Commander’s recent visit to the division. Despite these logistical setbacks, CSP Onyinnaya noted that the division’s officers maintain their commitment to duty, which has helped keep crime rates low in the region.
“The success we’ve seen is due to effective manpower management, strong dedication to duty, and partnerships with other security forces and stakeholders,” he explained.
CSP Onyinnaya also commended ACP Temitope for boosting intelligence surveillance in the area, linking the tranquility of Onitsha to the policing strategies employed by the Area Commander.
In response, the Area Commander praised the DPO and his team for their ability to uphold order in the community despite these challenges. He also expressed gratitude to other law enforcement agencies, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), market leaders, and the public for their continued support.
Furthermore, he urged the community to provide timely information to assist police efforts in safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing that effective policing relies on community involvement.
