The seven electoral wards within the Abakaliki South State Constituency, located in the Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have united to elected Hon. Chidiebere Emmanuel Ofoke unopposed as their candidate for the upcoming House Assembly election, viewing him as a beacon of hope for the community.
Mr. Ofoke, elected without opposition, will represent the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2027 general election. He has stated that his goal in seeking a position in state legislation is to advocate for the marginalized and improve the lives of those facing hardships in his community, confidently asserting that he will achieve a strong victory in the election.
When questioned about his decision to pursue a political career rather than other paths, this aspiring young leader shared that he was inspired by the marginalization of his constituents and criticized past representatives for their lack of real accomplishments over the years.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my constituents for selecting me to represent the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2027 general elections. With God’s guidance, I aim to make a meaningful difference in our Constituency. My approach will emphasize collective representation because the struggles of one person impact us all. The small efforts I have made in our villages in Abakaliki South will be amplified if you allow me to represent you in 2027,” he vowed.
Citing numerous positive endorsements for the APGA’s candidate, an elderly woman, who chose to remain anonymous, shared how Hon. Ofoke covered her medical bills, amounting to millions of Naira, when all hope seemed lost. She declared her family’s commitment to showing their appreciation for Hon. Mr. Chidiebere Emmanuel Ofoke by voting for him in the upcoming election.
Seizing the opportunity to highlight the philanthropic nature of the APGA candidate, young people, men, women, and schoolchildren expressed their gratitude to God for answering their prayers as they celebrated. They were thrilled that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had enabled them to express their choice for representation in the upcoming election for the Abakaliki South State Constituency.
