Following the tragic death of Mr. Ikechukwu Nwite, allegedly murdered by his apprentice Chiemerie Aleke, the Amalekwune – Ameka Community in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has reportedly banished Chiemerie’s parents in response to their son’s alleged actions.

Chiemerie Aleke, who was employed by the late Mr. Nwite, is currently under investigation by the state police’s homicide unit for supposedly killing his employer on Valentine’s Day in Fegge, Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Sources from WISEMAN News indicate that Chiemerie’s parents, Mr. Innocent and Mrs. Mary Aleke, who primarily work as farmers, were driven out of the community after narrowly escaping a mob attack when the news of their son’s involvement in Mr. Nwite’s death became known. Mr. Nwite was also referred to as Turn-by-Turn.

Reports suggest that Chiemerie Aleke’s entire immediate family has fled their residence, abandoning their livestock, crops, and possessions due to fears of retaliation from the outraged youth in the Amalekwune – Ameka Community.

Furthermore, community elders have marked the Aleke home with palm leaves, signaling that no one is permitted to interact with or assist the banished family, irrespective of their status.

In an interview with WISEMAN News, a local elder, who requested anonymity, stated that the community’s decision was the best way to support the grieving family. He noted that anyone wishing to reach out to the Aleke family must first pay respect to the gods and partake in purification rituals as per community customs.

At the time of the report, efforts to reach any member of the exiled family were unsuccessful, and their current location remains unknown. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
