Chief Dr. Akai Egwuonwu, a prominent candidate for the Anambra South Senatorial district seat in the National Assembly, has reaffirmed his steadfast support for Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo.
In a conversation with reporters in Awka, Egwuonwu highlighted how the Governor’s innovative approach to statewide development motivates his own political vision and goals.
He regards Governor Soludo as his role model and pledged to adhere to the principles laid out in the APGA manifesto, as well as the Governor’s philosophy, to effectively advocate for the interests of the Anambra South Senatorial district.
Egwuonwu acknowledged that the Governor, affectionately known as Oluatuegwu for his significant leadership, has raised the standards of governance, achieving greater developmental progress than past administrations.
Furthermore, Egwuonwu stressed that his allegiance to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) arises from the party’s commitment to people-centered governance and the peace and stability it holds, qualities which he believes are uncommon in other political parties.
He praised APGA leaders at all levels for their dedication to maintaining unity and fostering growth within the party in Anambra State.
Additionally, Egwuonwu promised party members of his ongoing commitment as a Life Patron, vowing to actively contribute to the development, unity, and electoral success of APGA in future political endeavors.
