As the 2027 general elections approach, the Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is proudly presenting its strong slate of candidates for various offices. The party encourages voters in the state to consider their candidates as reliable choices compared to those from other parties.
State Chairman Hon. Chukwudi Nwankwo shared with our Correspondent in Abakaliki that their grassroots campaign before the party’s primary elections successfully attracted committed and qualified individuals to APGA.
He described the party as a source of pride and a representation of Igbo identity, asserting that APGA is offering candidates who will keep their opponents on edge in the upcoming elections. He also reassured the citizens of Ebonyi State that the party has been revamped to enhance effective representation and accountability in governance.
Known affectionately as Ayanga by his supporters, Hon. Nwankwo urged the people of Ebonyi State to view APGA as a party poised to address the shortcomings seen in the poorly designed manifestos of various political parties in past elections.
He proudly announced the selected gubernatorial candidate, Chief Mrs. Lucy Chinwe Agunwodom, alongside Chief Chikodiri Ojemba, who is contesting against the Deputy Chief Whip of the National Assembly, Sen. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, from the Ebonyi North Senatorial District. He also mentioned Hon. Emeka Irem for the Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency and Hon. Edeh Ekechi Kingsley for the Ezza North East State Constituency, among several other qualified candidates gearing up for the elections in Ebonyi State.
Hon. Nwankwo ultimately urged the citizens of the State to support APGA’s goal of restoring the dignity and pride of Ebonyi State. He emphasized that this can be accomplished if the electorate moves away from money-driven politics and elects sensible leaders who will uplift all Ebonyi citizens.
