However, despite the ransom payment, she was not released, leading the police to conduct further inquiries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following continuous intelligence gathering, police operatives found the alleged victim in a room in Asaba, Delta State, on the afternoon of September 18, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initial investigation findings suggest that the woman may have conspired with a female associate named Onyinye, whose other names are still unknown, and a male accomplice currently unidentified, to fake her own kidnapping and extract money from her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ikenga also mentioned that the detained suspect is cooperating with the police, providing valuable information to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to help identify and capture her alleged accomplices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has instructed that the investigation be intensified to uncover the complete details surrounding the case and ensure that anyone implicated is held accountable under the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{By TOBIAS EKIRIKA, Onitsha} The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended a 22-year-old woman named Nwachukwu Chidubem Blessing, tied to an alleged case of conspiracy, fraud, and suspected self-kidnapping, after her family paid a ransom of N3 million.
